Gabriella Evelina Quevedo (January 12, 1997) was born in Kinna, Sweden, is a Swedish guitarist. She grew up in Kinna and got interested in guitar because her father played guitar. She discovered fingerstyle guitar and it led to her recording a number of covers of other guitarists' performances and her own guitar arrangements on YouTube.[1][2][3] In February 2017 this channel had over 380,000 subscribers and 70 million views. Her main influences are Tommy Emmanuel, Sungha Jung, Kotaro Oshio and Andy McKee, some of whom she has made recordings with. She has also appeared in concerts in Sweden and internationally.[4] Her recording of Hotel California by The Eagles, arranged by Tomi Paldanius, had 14 million views on YouTube in December 2016. In 2012 she won first prize in the category of "young talent" on the Uppsala International Guitar Festival[5] and 2014 Ryan Seacrest 's vote on the best cover of the song "Young Girls" by Bruno Mars.[6][7] In 2016 she was awarded the Hagstrom grant of the Swedish Royal Academy of Music (Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien).[8]
